If you have the time, could you post your dxdiag report? I just want to take a closer look at your system as I know several people that have done a complete uninstall and reinstall just as you have to see if it would resolve the issue, but for them the no sound bug remains. Also, if you could check back in from time to time to let me know if the issue is still resolved for you, I would really appreciate it. :)
