I just want to add, I don't have any other sound issues other than no sound with the new Jukebox, Karaoke machine and still have problems with the LN wall Speakers/no sound. There may be sound or not It varies, when the item is turned on. Skipping to the next song may work or not, it varies.
My sound card is a Realtek HD card. Up to date driver. My Video card is an ATI HD video card. DX is also up to date.
This doesn't happen 2 hours into the game in my game. It happens as soon as the Jukebox, is turned on (but may vary) Sound stops...even though record is still playing.
Karaoke machine...same old animation doesn't line up with songs/sound stops/Sims keep singing as in TS2.
Thank you for the detailed information concerning how the no sound bug is affecting your game.
Just in case you haven't done so already, double check your in-game audio settings in the 'Option' menu under the speaker tab, and try setting your audio quality to 'high' and make sure that you have selected the proper speaker setup for your audio configuration. I don't really expect changing those settings to fix anything Showtime related, but maybe it will help with your late night wall speakers.
The two hour reference was just a slight trend that I noticed people citing when they recalled when they experienced the sound issue for the very first time. It just seemed to be that either the sound issue was present immediately or happened for the first time around two hours into the game. Not really of importance, but just something interesting to me, lol.
