Origin and the Sims won't launch

I just bought The Sims 3 last night and was playing it like crazy. For almost three hours I was making my Flynn family, but this morning I almost cried. When i tried to launch Origin, nothing happene...

    Could you try the following:

    1. Close the game and launcher
    2. Go to the following folder documents\electronicarts\thesims3\ and find a file called options(.ini)
    3. Open the file with a text edior of your choice
    4. Find the following line: fullscreen = 1
    5. Change it to fullscreen = 0
    6. Start the game

    The game should now start in windowed mode. See if that works.

Did you do anything else but play ? Install any content ? Does the launcher start ?

What's your operating system ?

    I tried to install the High-End loft and the late night after i started playing, but according to my program files i geuss they never installed. The launcher only starts if i put it on my tool bar (the thing at the bottom) right click it and select, "My games, store etc." but just clicking on it normally, the launcher doesn't start. I have a windows 7 computer which is fully capable of running anything.

      Might be some left over files from that HELS installation then.

      Check your computer/registery if there is anything.

      Also does the game not start from the launcher either ? Any error messages ?

        There wasn't any weird files from HELS. At one point i was able to open the launcher by right clicking orgin on the task  bar, but once i was in the game the screen went black, i got a loading cursor and it pushed me out of the window. If i tried to go back in, it would push me out. I waited two hours and it was still like that so i had to use the task manager to get it out. I now can't even get to the sims 3 screen.
