Origin is required to play the sims but doesn’t exist

Question

Hello,my sims 3 game decided to corrupt after I had just downloaded a new stuff pack. For some reason it now wants me to have Origin and obviously that doesn’t exist it’s now the EA app, I have tried repairing the game, it didn’t work, uninstalling the stuff pack didn’t work and even uninstalling and installing it again but nothing seems to be working and the error message still is up, to the point I cannot launch the game even when going into the back files.&nbsp;can someone tell me how to fix this as I’ve spent a lot of money and will be damned if I lose access to playing the sims 3.

LittleSimmerPlum​&nbsp; The launcher showing version 0 means you'll need to do a clean uninstall and reinstall of the game.&nbsp; Here's how:

If you use a third-party antivirus, disable it while reinstalling the game.&nbsp; As long as you don't do anything else at the same time, your computer should be safe, and you can reenable the AV as soon as you find out whether the game runs properly.
