Also keep in mind, that when you install the base game for the first time that you will have no Launcher (that came with a patch for Macs), but WA should have it included. So just keep installing the other expansions you have and as soon as your finished, open the Launcher and disable automatic updates. I hope this works for you. I haven't done this recently but I did do this once when I didn't want to have a certain patch level that broke cc hairs for Macs.Snapdragon wrote:QueenDivetta wrote:Unless they've changed that you can, sort of. Just reinstall everything in the order of their release dates and not patch at all. Your base game should then be at the patch level of your most recent EP or SP. Unlike PC users Mac users cannot, however, roll back to a specific patch level, because EA removes every older Mac patch as soon as a newer one is released.
So wait, if we were to do a clean install of the game, but not update to the latest patch, would the game work on Lion? Is there a way to update all the patches except the latest one?
So just uninstall everything, then reinstall all my EPs and SPs but don't patch at all? Is that correct?
Do you guys know if the same would work with Medieval? Obviously it doesn't have any EPs or SPs, but it's had several patches... and ones that were very important. Like with new content and quests and ambitions and stuff. Anyone know if that can be remedied?
And for Medieval I don't know. I don't have that. If they provide all different patches somewhere you could perhaps pick and choose the level you want. They do this for PCs so maybe they'll do it for Macs with Medieval, too.
ETA: @BluebellFlora: I think this thread is about to break again. I begin to get the 404 errors when posting without quoting, which previously was followed by complete failure.
