Partially to completely invisible Sims

Does anybody else have this problem? I recently installed a new video card and increased the amount of RAM in my Dell Vostro 220 but I keep having the same problems, the most prevalent being partially to completely invisible Sims! What's worse, on the invisible Sims, I cannot click or interact with them at all and this is bad cause I have Showtime and one of the propietors is now invisible! The only way to click on them and ask for a gig is to go to Map View. Is it a problem with my desktop PC or do I have a corrupt file? I really don't know cause it seems upgrading the video card and RAM didn't fix the problem. I also noticed this problem started after I installed the latest patch; at first I couldn't install it cause I kept getting an error about a corrupt file or something along those lines.

    The partially invisible Sim was decapitated and I also noticed one of the propietors has the wrong skin tone; it's a very dark black. I will try this solution and see if it works, thank you.

    The Sim had everything but his head and most of the invisible sims were NPCs with either walking canes (elders) who I also think were papparazzis since I saw floating cameras and pen pads.

    Everything but the head sounds very weird.

    the invisible sims are probably Sims with corrupt outfits. You can try to reset all your sims with resetsim *. It sometimes makes them visible again.
