Lauraronderos What you've described is what happens when players deliberately bypass the launcher, by renaming the game's executable (TS3.exe) to the launcher's executable (Sims3Launcher.exe). When you press Play in the EA App, the App calls up the launcher, and pressing Play in the launcher calls TS3.exe. But this can be worked around by renaming the executables so the App thinks it's calling the launcher when it's really opening the game. Point is, if you've done some renaming, undo the change.
Otherwise, or if renaming doesn't help, repair the game in the EA App (Sims 3 > Manage > Repair). If you've previously taken steps to get your graphics card recognized, or changed the program files in some other way, the repair will undo that work, so you may want to save any edited files for later use.
