Please use The Sims 3 launcher and update your version of The Sims 3 before installing product

Question

WHY DOES IT SAY THIS?!?! I just bought sims 3 yesterday and installed it and played it with no issues. Today I bought Pets and High End Stuff I downloaded them both fine now when trying to install them it says "Please use The Sims 3 launcher and update your version of The Sims 3 before installing product" I go to updates and it says no updates. What is going on!? I've uninstalled them. I love buying games I can't even play!

What is your base game version right now ?Open the launcher and check the number in the lower left corner.If you're not at 1.63, please update your game.
