Problem with buydebug garden plants and custom world

In my current world I've created a few allotment-type lots containing the auto-plants from buydebug. However, when I test them in the actual game, all the plants are gone and I have to place them again. Also, in edit-in-game they only appear as piles of dirt, while in the game they show up as that plant.

Do I have to place the plants in the game and then put them in my world through edit-in-game? :?

    Oh, thank you.

I have this problem in the game. Not when making a world. I can only get lemon tree and eggplant to grow. Seed spawners also only spawn those two. I haven't tried buying fruits or so from the store, because I wanted to make a castaway sim. A store would kinda ruin the idea :-)

edit: I just tried going to the store in Monte Vista. ONLY lemons and eggplants are available :-(
  • it might be helpful for somebody: I had the same problem, (plants from uviversity and supernatural were only dirt without leaves, and didn't grow, I've checked them by nraas, and it was looking like they are "broken" I couldn't set "next growth state" etc.) I found thay it was because of this mod: https://modthesims.info/d/352788/plant-eggs-cheese-steak-and-burgers-without-doing-the-opportunity-update-11-22-10.html. I removed this mod and then all plants bought in buydebug mode were normal.
