Purchased sims 3 on dvd and ea, want to play w/o purchasing again on pc

So I purchased the disc for sims 3 and have it and the game right next to me, I wanted to switch from xbox 360 to my Lenovo laptop and play on there but I no longer have access to the account I played it on, I only have the disc and had to create a new account. (SaltySnows) I wanted to know if there was any way I could prove my purchase to EA through some kind of picture or something so I wouldn’t have to purchase it all over again for $20 on PC when I already bought it a while ago because money is tight right now?

  • @SaltySnows  No, this isn't possible.  Sims 3 for console is an entirely different game, despite sharing a name with its Windows/macOS analogue, and is treated as such for ownership purposes.  I would suggest waiting for a sale, which typically brings the price of the Starter Pack (base game, Late Night, High-End Loft Stuff) down to $10 or less.  Unfortunately, the most recent sale ended a day and a half ago, but there should be another one in a couple of months.

In the interim, the Sims 4 base game is free to play.  It's not at all the same as either version of Sims 3, but it might help you scratch that Sims-related itch.  If you try it, be sure to pick up the currently-free Backyard Stuff pack too.
