There is no official info about the Linux and EA especially when Windows 8 is knocking the door on its way, but there are some games which *just work* on Linux although they aren't officially supported on Linux, you can try to go to http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/ and check any game if it supports Linux or not.
One more thing is that your can use a virtual Operating System program to run the games you like under a normal Windows while you are using Linux, please tell me if you like that and I will try to help you 🙂, have a nice day ahead.
