Re: 1.42 Base Patch for Mac

Nothing is coming up and i cant find that folder anywhere :/

  • I do not have the follwing folders:

    Collections

    Content Patch 

    I created the DCBackup file 

  • Also I thought I should mention, theres some files just in the sims 3 folder not in a specific one

    DeviceConfig.log

    ScpritCache.package

    simCompositorCahce.package

    Sims3LauncherLogFile.log

    tslus.bin

    Version.tag

    You don't need that. That's only if you have third party content in package file form.

    Yeah, those files are fine.

     When you re-open the launcher, do the files show up as installed still or not anymore ?

    You do have a DCCache folder, yes ?

    Could you post a picture of it's content. Make sure the file sizes show on the pic (or just post the names and the sizes you have in there)

    OK. That's why nothing is installed. There should be files in there.

    Are you sure your documents folder isn't write-protected or something ?

  • No I allowed downloads from parties other than apple. So this is the problem, but there has never been files in there 

  • 1. Should I install content in a different place somehow?

    2. Most downloads on the sims 3 exchange still say "Please update your game" even though my base game is at 1.42

  • Do I have to register all my games on the sims 3 website? Could that be why

    Don't think you need to. Did you register the base game ?
