Re Download The Exchange Items on a New Laptop?

Just a quick question,

Due to my computer stopping in the middle of a game and its terrible lagging, I want install all my games on a new higher graphics laptop.

I understand that none of my games will be saved by putting my Sims3 games on another laptop but what I'm wondering is:

can I somehow download from the site all the things I've gotten through The Exchange onto the new laptop once I've installed the game or are all the items lost forever?

    You can simply backup the folder in documents\electronicarts\thesims3 and move that to your new computer.

    You will need to reinstall the game itself but you can then replace the new folder that is being created with your old one and it will be as if you started the game on your old one (all savegames and custom content will still be there.


    You probably delete all the cache files and any logs though
