Hi, I am having the same problem as the one you responded to above. To answer your questions, I use macOS, it does not help when i close and reopen the launcher, and I am only trying to install content purchased from the Sims 3 store. Any suggestions? @puzzlezaddict
@UncannnyAnnie I've split your post into its own thread in the Mac forum because the other thread was somewhat old and mostly not relevant to your issue.
Do you see a second plumbob in your Dock when you try to install Store content? If so, click that plumbob, which should bring the Store's installer to the front. It's often hiding behind the launcher, giving the impression that the installer hasn't opened at all.
Please also repair the game in Origin: open your game library, right-click the Sims 3 icon, and select Repair.
If that doesn't help, move the entire Sims 3 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, open the launcher to spawn a clean folder, download one Store item, and try to install it. You may need to close and reopen the launcher, and the installer window may still be hiding.
