Re: [SOLVED] 64-bit Sims 3 content not in Origin library

Hello everyone,

I bought sims 3 yesterday to play on my MacBook Air, however when I uploaded the code to origin it gave me the error ''Your system doesn't support 32-Bit games''. I read up on the forums, restarted my origin, registered my game on the sims 3 site wrote e-mails to ea and lastly got the oppourtunity of live chatting with ea.

I simply told them all the information needed and my problem. A couple minutes later the team member had told me that they have updated my game to 64-Bit Metal and that I should be able to play now. However when I opened my origin, I still had the same error and all the team member told me was that they had changed it to 64-Bit Metal and that from their side it ''looked'' like my game was updated. After some time the team member told me to start my sims 4 (yes four) with a special command using the 64-Bit option through some instructions. I asked them why/how/if that would help my sims 3 and got no response. However I really want to be able to play what I spent money on so I tried doing it. But I didn't see that option there, all I could see was language settings. I told this as well to the member and they didn't respond. After a while they said that it must be my system's fault that I can't play because according to them my game was 64-Bit although on my computer it showed as 32-Bit (I was really dissatisfied with this chat and didn't feel taken seriously)

Now when I try to contact EA I don't get shown the live-chat option but the call one. However I can't do this because I live in Turkey/Türkiye and you can only get help through e-mail in this country which also hasn't been any help. And the call option only appears in some certain other countries which when you try to proceed with you need to have a phone number with the serial code of this country which I obviously do not have. So as my last resort I have come to this website.

All I want is to be able to enjoy what I paid for and to be taken seriously, to not be dismissed. Someone please help. I just want to enjoy my game. Thank you.

@DefneArkis  Do you currently have two copies of Sims 3 in your Origin game library?  If the support rep added the 64-bit version, you should see this:

The 32-bit version is grayed-out for me because my Mac doesn't run 32-bit apps.  If you don't see the version that says 64-bit, that means the support rep didn't add it.  In that case, I'd suggest contacting EA Help on Twitter or Facebook and asking for the "entitlement," as it's called, for the 64-bit version.

If you do see the 64-bit game tile, just install it and launch that version instead.  You'll want to uninstall the 32-bit version though, which you'll probably need to do manually:

Hi, all I have is the greyed out version. I reached out to EA on twitter. Hopefully I'll get some help this time.
