@emeulydamnit I've split your post into its own thread since the other thread was somewhat old and about a Mac issue. It sounds like your computer runs Windows since you've mentioned OneDrive.
Please see this section of my Store guide:

You may well need to reinstall your Store content from scratch. I would recommend making a backup copy of your Sims 3 user folder with nothing except Store content in it so you can restore that later if necessary.
The CurrentGame folder should always be empty unless you currently have a save loaded. It gets emptied when you quit. The only time you'd see files inside without Sims 3 running is if the game crashed and failed to empty the folder.
It's not working. I've uninstalled the whole thing, reinstalled it, the game it self works but the CC won't be downloaded from the file I put all of the CC in. They say to check if my game has the latest update. Doesn't make sense. Ideas? (btw it's working if I go to the Store, the cc can be downloaded properly, althought I'm unsure if it will get uninstalled when I shut my computer off tonight... I'll have to try. Please help, I'm so tired... my computer is brand new (windows 11).

@emeulydamnit Is the problem currently Store content (made by EA), Exchange content (made by third parties), or both? When you uninstalled everything, did that include deleting or removing the Sims 3 folder in Documents > Electronic Arts? If not, please do that now. Don't delete it if you have saves or other user data you'd like to preserve; removing it will be sufficient.
Open the launcher to spawn a clean folder, download one item you'd like to use from the Store or Exchange, and try to install it. If it doesn't show in-game, please let me know what it is, including a link if it's from the Exchange. Some older user-made content isn't compatible with the current version of Sims 3, and I can more or less confirm that by trying to install it on my own computers.
