Registration Issue "This code has already been used"

I tried using the 16-digit key from the Humble Bundle Origin Bundle in the Sims 3 redeem a code function because of another page in support stating that the 16 digit codes need to be redeemed via the redeem a code, however, nothing happened and now instead of the code referring me to the Sims 3 website when I try to redeem it in my Origin account, It links me to a different Origin page which tries registering the sims code into my account but when its registering, it then tells me that the code has already been used..

    Hey guys,

sorry you all having troubles with the bundle. EA is aware of all the issues and is obviously still trying to resolve it. I have to admit that I don't know what the currint status is on this and I did not read this whole thread.

Make sure to monitor this thread for any news: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-3/IMPORTANT-How-do-I-redeem-my-Humble-Origin-Bundle-code-for-the/m-p/1390706 and if you redeemed the code at the Sims3.com instead of Origin, only customer support can provide you with a new code.

I really hope this gets resolved soon.

I have actually found a solution to the used key problem if the key was initially redeemed via the Sims 3 website. The key that was given needed to be redeemed via origin and not the Sims 3 website. The origin client was supposed to provide the keys once the starter key was redeemed into Origin. If you redeemed you key via the Sims 3 website initially and now are getting the "This code has already been used" error, you can step in line to talk to a rep on EA Support and let them know that you had tried redeeming the code via the Sims 3 website, and they should be able to fix it. They were just able to fix it for me.. :womanvery-happy:

Same problem here. I redeemed the code on the community website first, now i cant activate it in Origin because its already used :/ Tried to contact web support - their advice was to contact the support of Humble Bundle, they havent replied yet. Its frustrating.

  • I have the same problem. To help the support team fix the issue, I'll detail everything I did, step by step.

    - I received the code from the Humble Bundle website, and tried to enter it directly into the installed Origin client.

    - Origin tells me the code can't be used inside the client and redirects me to the following website: https://account.origin.com/cp-ui/redemption/index

    - I enter my code there and got an error, telling me that it is not possible to redeem the code at this time and I should try later.

    - When I tried later, the website told me the code is already in use. However, the game does not show up, neither on the Origin website nor in the client.

After reading the sticky threads I'll just patiently wait until they resolve this. In the meantime, lots of other games to play 😛
