Resetting game controls

After the most recent update for my Sims 3 PC game the controls like my key board's arrows and the "," and "." turning controls don't work anymore and even the on screen moving controls are all messed up. I've tried looking in the settings and tried fixing it that way but there is nothing in the settings that I see will help fix this problem. Any helpful suggestions?????
