for worlds the code is redeemed in the sims 3 account downloaded and installed from there

the code is 16 digits long you redeem that code on your the sims 3 account then download and install the world from your the sims 3 purchase history you will once the world is downloaded and installed find the world to play in in the main menu + nee game you will still play from whatever game you normally play from also there is no launcher icon shortcutt icon now will the world appear in the origin my games tab as is not an expansion or stuff pack it is sims 3 store DLC content

1. Go to thesims3.com and log in with your account
2. Go to the general redeem a code page: http://www.thesims3.com/incentive/generalredeem.html
3. Enter the 16-letter code (this is not for 20-letter codes) and click on Submit
4. Go to your purchase history to download the world (make sure your game is updated to the newest version)

IF you redeemed the code in your origin account instead you may get the used/invalid error message you'll need to contact CS if that happened
