I really enjoy the Edit town part of gameplay. but I'm having some major issues with the lots in this World becoming Un-routable once i delete or bulldoze a lot to build something else. Normally, I just bulldoze, and replace with a larger or sometimes smaller lot... it's not letting me... How can I add venues I've purchased from the sim store if I can't place new lots down in the world???? is there a patch or cheat code I can use to get rid of the un routable issues?:mansad:

Do they spreat to the whole world or just that part where you're bulldozing ? I really haven't played the world myself and also did not read up on stuff. I'll put this in the helpers thread to see if someone else knows but if you don't get an answer, post on the official forums on thesims3.com in either the Store World Forum or the Store Tech forum.

it is the entire world that this happens.... I was trying some other areas, just moving around buildings and it's just not possible... any lot that is bulldozed automatically makes the area un-routable. your only choice is to use the lots available, which is very disappointing if you are trying to make the world your own. I have posted this same question and request for help in the World forum on the Sims 3 Website, and Mod the Sims website, a week before I came to EA Answers for help. No one had a solution. there is no cheat code nor any bug fix or modification that can be used to fix un-routable issues unless you try to rebuild the entire world in CAW. I'm creative...but not that creative. I'm hoping that a fix can be done. If I could adjust something in the lines of code, I'd be willing to try....but i don't normally like to mess with that stuff unless I have clear direction of what needs to be done. I love the pre-made worlds, but I also love adding venues from the EA / Sims 3 store to my worlds so I can have a little bit of everything when I'm playing. I've never had so much trouble moving things around.... Normally if you bulldoze a couple of lots to make room for a bigger one, the games allows it... I've never seen it automatically make the land and space un-routable like this.is there anyway to get this information to the creators of the game so that a fix can be put into place?

Well.... it's just about any lot. I started with that little strand of beach..where the 30 x 20 homes are. I relocated them on the other side of the strand... that took almost 30 min to do. then i bulldozed the 30 x 20 plots.... that entire part of the strand became un-routable and I was not able to place any size lot there after that. I even tried to replace 30 x 20 lots back... and I could not. then I went to the other side of town where the hospital is... and all the land that is unforuntately wasted and unusable. I tried deleting a 64 x 64 lot and replacing with a 60 x 60 lot so I could place the Equestrian center.... no can do.. once your delete the lot the entire space becomes un-routable. The same with any plot of land in the center of town, I wanted to add the pet store and consignment store... so I deleted a couple 30 x 30 empty lots.... once they were gone the space again became un-routable and I was unable to place any lots... no matter the size. doesn't matter if you are using a lot that is smaller or bigger than the ones you bullzone... once you get rid of them, the land becomes completely un-routable and un-usable.After about 2 hours of posting the question on vaiouse forums and then going back into the game to try again, using a couple of cheats codes... well I gave up, deleted the game and started a new game to see if I could just live with it the way it is.No one really has an answer.... it's gonna have to go to the Sim Gurus and then maybe a programmer who can upload an update. that's the only thing I can think of.

wOW tell you what i haven't much time the last few days to edit town in RH but i'll give it a whirl later tonight will post sometime tomorrow results if any or if i have the same issues as you

I haven't tried out the new amusment park yet... I'll have to give that a try. something interesting I noticed with the routing issues on that strand of beach... well... at the far end there were two empty 30 x 20 plots. I bulldozed them and by some magic was able to place a 40 x 30 lot there. I decided that is where i would build a nice house and play my favorite sim family. Here is where the routing issue comes into play.... when they go outside to get in their car... they walk all way around the house, down to the end of a sidewalk path, then then turn around and take the path back over to the front of the house again before they will get in their car to go somewhere. It's like they are not able to just walk out to the front of the house..... like there is something there blocking it.
If i have the camera aimed at some of the other 30 x 20 homes on that strand of beach and just watch the other sims come and go... they all do the same thing.... they walk all the way around the property before going anywhere...or even going back into the house. so there definately is still some major routing issues involved. maybe the sidewalks are not finished properly or something. i know in CAW that you need to have a definate end to every sidewalk and street... maybe they didn't finish them???
but for now, I'm doing my best to enjoy the work I've done. Have a Happy new year. 😕mileyvery-happy:

Okay, I've given it 2 or 3 weeks...and I've gone through a generation of sims and several seasons trying to give Roaring heights a fair chance with game play. the routing issues are just too much. I've got sims getting stuck everywhere and cars getting stuck, animals getting stuck... it's a mess. I don't think they really finished this world before annoucing it was ready.
Was really hoping the new patch would fix routing isses and the issue of the diving career not being playable in other worlds. boy that was a big let down.
so I've decided to delete Roaring Heights and move my sim family to Dragon Valley. I haven't really had a chance to play that world yet and I would like to give it a fair shake. I do prefer the more tropical worlds... love Sunlit Tides... but as I mentioned before, they did not allow a patch that would incorporate the new diving career to be playable in all the other worlds, and it is a new career and feature I really liked... and sunlit Tides would have been a perfect world for that career.. So I'm off to play Dragon valley and then I might give moonlit falls a chance before I give in and just head back to Sunlit Tides for the remainder of my game play.
thank you again for investigating the routing isses with me. I think we can call it quits for this world.
