Community AdminI can play offline with all accounts I tested with. I tried it with the download and the disc version and on several different computers.
What exactly do you get as an error message? What happens when you try to play?
I can't even download origin anymore which I have purchased Sims 3 and 4 and now can't even play them. Also I've contacted each support plenty of times and they haven't helped either
I had this same problem for an entire year, but I found a solution while trying to get rid of the chat icon. Go to the Application Settings and go to the Origin In-Game tab. Disable it and you should be able to launch Sims 3 with all expansion packs without using Origin. I guess this Origin In-Game Option is the thing forcing players to use a internet connection. Hopefully this will help someone else.
