ittybittymuggle I've split your post into its own thread because the other thread was extremely old.
What you've described is a corrupt save that has failed to load properly. If you'd still like help recovering it, are you willing to add a few mods to help? When save corruption is this progressed, sometimes there's nothing to be done, but a lot of the time, mods can help get the save back to a playable state.
