Saved Games in folder, but not coming up in menu

Hi,

I have been playing sims 3 since it came out and I am a old hat at sims problems I have a lot of issues. Currently My problem is that the saved games that were coming up earlier that day are not longer coming up non of them, only option is a new game. I did some googling and it seems like my saved files are corrupted. I did as suggested and deleted the saves and made the back ups the new main folders, I also deleted a couple .bad. This didn't work. I can't find much else. I would really appreciate some help, I have lost all of my games a few times now and I really want to be able to access my games.

My work around:
Copy a working saved game to your desktop
Copy files out of save file that will not load
Delete files in the working save file folder while game is at the select a world screen
Paste copied files into the now empty working save file folder
Load the working save file
Once you load the game save all important lots and families (Re-Saving under a different name will not work)
Close game
Restart sims3
Load a new world
Place families and lots in new world
Save game.
