Seasons is asking for serial code before playing

I've got a new computer recently and I installed the Sims 3 with the add-ons I've got and installing went fine, but now press play I get a screen asking to check my serial code, when I click OK, it shows up again, this repeats so many times and then finally it says that my code is invalid, even though I installed it with the same code! 

I installed all the other Sims add-ons with the cd ,but I lost the cd for Seasons so I downloaded that through Origin. When I uninstall Seasons I can play, but when Seasons is installed it can't.

I hope you understand my problem, I contacted the Dutch EA support but it didn't really help me at all.

    Nothing I tried worked, so I contacted an Advisor though the chat and I got a new serial code. It worked and I can play The Sims 3 again! 🙂

    This is strange.


    It should not ask you for a serial code after you've installed it.

    Does it specifially say it needs the seasons code ? Maybe it needs to be the base game one.

    When the screen comes up it automatically has the Seasons code, I tried the base game code too but it doesn't work.

    Wonder if something is blocking the connection to Origin so that it doesn't go through properly. Try disabling firewall and Antivirus.

    If that works, add Origin as an exception.
