Okay. So I’ve downloaded sims 3 plently of times and it worked fine besides the normal lagging , but when I try to build on the lot and try to put floor tile down it just freezes. It won’t let me exit out or click on save. I have to turn my whole computer off and start it over and over again. I even tried it without mods or cc and still the same thing.

Ariiduhh Please provide a dxdiag. Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
Please also let me know whether this happens on multiple lots, and in a new save.
