Sim 3 Humble Bundle Not Working

I spent all day downloading this(300k/b sec, slow as dirt) only to find out I need a CD to play? I don't know if I did something wrong but in my opinion when I open up a game it should open up the game not a menu because that just leads to problems like this, not even to mention the fact that I have to "Uninstall" both the dlc's that were never placed on my computer. I just want to open my game and do everything in there but EA thinks website gaming is what is "hip" and "cool". Just look at Battlefield 3 they didn't have to make a menu for the consoles or anything.

But if anyone has suggetions on how to fix this I would love to play this game.

    Do you just have the Starter Pack via Humble Bundle or did you have any kind of DVD version installed before.

    You shouldn't need the disc. Which one is it asking for btw ?
