Sim can't get pregnant in sims 3

I think my game is glitched, last night my sim had a baby but after that I tried with 6 different sims (I'm doing the 100 baby challenge) to try and get her pregnant again and I tried for a baby multiple times with each sim and it didn't work at all, there was no chimes and no symptoms, today I made a new family and tried again, I made her try for a baby and the chimes went off but she didn't get any symptoms and she didn't get pregnant at any point, I even left it four sim days to see but nothing happened. Does anyone know why? Am currently uninstalling and reinstalling all my games if that helps!
