KaitlynsCorner If the game is installed on your computer and the launcher opens at all, you have the 64-bit version. It's not necessarily labeled as such, but the old version is entirely 32-bit, including the installer, so you wouldn't be able to do anything with it if that was what the EA App installed.
Do you now see "only available in Windows" in the EA App, or do you see a version of the game you can interact with, or nothing at all? If you can open the launcher to try to install Store content, it sounds like the game is already installed and you can launch it, but let me know if you've since uninstalled and can't reinstall the game at all.
As for the launcher failing to install Store content, that's a known issue on the newest versions of macOS:
Launcher crashes when I open the downloads tab in Sims 3 | EA Forums - 12167613
The game crashing when you try to launch it is separate though.
Hi, thank you for the explanation — that helps a lot! I’ll try the suggested fixes for the Store content downloads.
Right now, the main issue I’m still having is that the launcher keeps crashing even when I am not trying to download content, and the game itself won’t stay open for more than a few minutes after launching. Even when it does open, it crashes shortly after starting.
Do you have any recommendations specifically for fixing the launcher crashing and the game closing a few minutes after launch?
