Sims 3 and higher compatibility with Ubuntu

Hello:

I love the sims games and have played them for many years but recently i downloaded a program called ubuntu for my computer because ufortunately microsoft software is prone to viruses (unlike ubuntu). Anyways i was shocked to find out that the Sims games are not compatable with  ubuntu at all! Now this really hurt me since the sims game is something i look forward to playing when i come home from school but now ive wasted areound Fifty dollars on a game that i cant even play on my PC. It can't be too hard programming the sims to also work with ubuntu so that way people who use this software and enjoy simming can play their games as well. Now i understand there are certain ways to download sims 3 or 2 on ubuntu using special apps and what not. Ufortunately i have tried them all and it is a hit or miss with all of them. The game may download properly but then it crashes or you cant get to the exchange to download content or saving the actual game doesnt work. all of theses are problems ive dealt with in the last week of trying to find a solution. I hope the Manufacturers  of the game have a solution to this problem because i will no longer continue to waste money on a game i can't even play. Answers would be greatly appreciated.
