@lilymanring Just to be clear, you're right-clicking on this Sims 3 plumbob, right?
If the game launches at all, even if it hangs on the server error screen, there have to be package contents. If you two-finger click on a trackpad, or hold down ctrl and click, any icon or folder at all should show at least some options.
@puzzlezaddict Ok i finally did it and completed all the steps but now when I try and open the app it an error thing pops up.

@lilymanring Are you saying you get the unknown error now? If not, please take a screenshot of the error you do see.
If this is the unknown error, please list the full specs of your Mac, as described here:
When you say you don't have any packs, do you mean you don't have any installed, or that you don't own any? If you do own at least one, is it possible Origin automatically installed it? Open Package Contents the same way you did before, then open Contents > Resources >AddOns, and let me know if there's anything in that folder besides the uninstaller.
