Sims 3 and Windows 8 - An Analysis

- What version of Windows 8 are you running ?
Windows 8 Not sure which one
- Do you have the 32 bit Version or the 64 bit one ?
64 bit
- Did you buy a new Computer and got Windows 8 on that or did you install it on your old machine ?
brand new computer not even a month old
- Which of the EPs/SPs do you have installed ?
Generations, Pets, Barancle Bay, Outdoor & town Life, Ambitions, World Adventures, Showtime, Late night & seasons
- What Patch level are you at (base game) ?
1.42
- Do you have any Store content or CC/mods added ?
no mods or cc, got rid of those when the problem started. When i stopped using those, my store content went away too
- Did you try out any of the beta/consumer preview versions and did you have any issues with those ?
no don't even know what those are
- What graphic card do you have and which driver version are you running ?
nvidia geforce gt 640m- what is a driver version, it's a brand new comp. I went through the checklist that ea gave me to make sure when i brought the new computer that the sims would work...that didn't happen
- What symptoms are you seeing (try to be as detailed as possible)
i will play, perfectly fine, sometimes i get 30 minutes of game time, others 4 hours but then it stops working and kicks me out for no reason.
- Anything else you like to add.
this is so frustrating, between hours on the phone with ea, buy two different computers to make sure I wouldn't have these issues only to have them, i seriously need some help. With everything I've done, the only answer I get is I need windows 7 and that would cost me 200 to 300 bucks to downgrade my brandnew system to play a game that's i've already spent almost 500 bucks on just to play.
