- Do you have the 32 bit Version or the 64 bit one ?

- Did you buy a new Computer and got Windows 8 on that or did you install it on your old machine ?

- What Patch level are you at (base game) ?

- Do you have any Store content or CC/mods added ?
I have store content but never got to try to install it
- Did you try out any of the beta/consumer preview versions and did you have any issues with those ?
Did not know to try. I kind gave up trying anything else.
- What graphic card do you have and which driver version are you running ?
NVidia GeForce GTX 675MX/4GB GDDR5
- What symptoms are you seeing (try to be as detailed as possible)
I downloaded the base game and it worked fine. I downloaded the expansions and it says "an error occurred" when I tried to play the game. All the shortcuts to all of the games are blank and nothing plays.
- Anything else you like to add.
I did a live chat with origin and they told me it was a windows 8 issue and that ea hasn't come up with an update for windows 8 yet but it should be coming out in February. Is that true?
I am a HUGE Sims 3 fan. I bought this computer specifically to play Sims 3 since my old computer became too outdated and I was getting too frustrated with the constant crashing. Now please imagine my disappointment. Please fix this! I miss playing sims! :(
