The game was playing just perfect on Windows 8. Untill I installed the new patch.. 1.48. So I don't think it's really a Windows 8 issue, even if some EA advisors told me it's because sims 3 are not compatible with Windows 8. Since the new patch, when I click on play nothing happens. I reinstalled everything without any CC, it doesn't work. When I uninstall Season and Showtime (which I have only on digital version, no dvd) then the game works fine with Pets (on dvd)..
