Sims 3 CC disappearing from downloads on launcher

I'm not sure what brought this on, but I opened CAS and half of my clothes CC is missing. I checked the files under Documents>Electronic Arts>The Sims 3>Mods>Packages, and then to the organized folders I have for each type of CC, and the clothes that were not available in CAS were all there (.package files). I checked the downloads tab in the Sims 3 launcher, and all the clothes missing from the CAS are also missing from the downloads tab. Any idea on how to get these files back into the downloads tab and into CAS? I've downloaded a lot of CC and it took a lot of time for me to download it so it really would be unfortunate if I lost most of it. Can anyone help me with this?

  • @pookyha  The launcher only displays custom content installed through the launcher, i.e. Sims3Packs; .package files won't show up.  If the items aren't in-game either, delete the five cache files in your game folder, where you added the Mods folder.  These should be deleted regularly anyway, and any time you add or remove content from your game folder.  For reference, they are:

    • CASPartCache.package
    • compositorCache.package
    • scriptCache.package
    • simCompositorCache.package
    • socialCache.package

If this doesn't help, maybe there's something off about your mods setup in general.  Have you added the necessary resource.cfg file, and where did you get it?  Does anything in Mods\Packages show up in-game?  How many folders deep did you place the files that aren't working?  There are plenty of ways adding mods can go wrong.

It worked! Thank you so much. I'll remember to delete these frequently!
