Hello,
Recently I've reclaimed all my family's sims 3 games, however, I am unable to register them. They were BOUGHT by us, and I have no idea why it won't work, the only idea I have is that it's on an old EA account, but it's long gone now, it's been years since I actually used it last.
Is there any way to reach out to support to fix this or will I have to buy them again?
Id just play then on my computer but I can't get my drive to work ☹️
Anything helps, thanks
@AllyPeddie You could try to recover the old account; maybe you'll get lucky. Open an Origin sign-in window (app or browser, doesn't matter), enter any email address you'd have had around the time, and click "Forgot your password?" Any address associated with an EA account will (should) receive a password recovery email. Be sure to check the spam folder as well.
If that doesn't work, you can try contacting EA customer support for help. Take a photo for each pack showing its disc, the box it came in, and the insert with the product key showing; you can upload these when you submit your help request. There's no guarantee support will be able to help, but it's worth trying.

Otherwise, external disc drives are cheap, certainly a lot cheaper than rebuying all your content. You could even borrow one from a friend or family member to make sure it works before spending money on your own.
Edit: I merged your two threads together. Some disc drives don't recognize Sims 3 discs, or older game discs in general. Others work fine. So it can take a bit of experimenting to find one that works, but it's certainly possible to do so. A large percentage of the Sims 3 community on the official Sims forums plays using discs, even in Windows 10.
