Sims 3 Compatibility

Basically, Ive spent over 7 hours with EA Help Advisors trying to figure out why my sims 3 isn't working.

Turns out I have windows 8.1 & it isn't compatiable with this.

Does anybody know how to downgrade to windows 8 so I can play sims 3?

Any help would be great because after 3 different advisors & 7 hours of trying to figure it out I'm completely frustrated & mentally drained from it all! ☹️

Thankyou in advance!

emm yes it is compatible in most cases...just try a few extra steps  right click the game shortcut icon on your desktop-properties-compatibility-tick the run this programs  as an administrator   -tick the run in compatibility mode for select in the drop down menu select the windows 7 (or xp) click ok you will also need to check each expansion pack and stuff pack icon you have  that you do the same for each  the same compatibility mode as your base game icon shortcut once you have selected the computability mode for each one  and right click the origin shortcut icon run as admin it's a good idea to restart the computer after you do  that and alos if you have BitDefender that can interfere with the game too so most people disable that while playing there are some other antivirus program too that can interfere with the game too and also making sure nothing is blocking the connection firewall/antivirus

Please try the following to turn off bitDefender (credits to Kiaori) if you have BitDefender

    Open bitdefender
    Go to settings
    Open Antivirus
    Go to the tab Shield
You will see Active Virus Management and to the right of that you will see on/off.
    Put that off
