Sims 3 crashing every 5 minutes

Hi, I've contacted EA about this issue a few times but i didn't get much help.

I recently bought myself a PC, I decided to download the sims 3 and a few packs since I didn't have it on my previous computer. I didn't try and move saves over or anything since I had none previously. The game downloaded perfectly fine as well as the 4 expansion packs and single stuff pack I got. The game runs perfectly in CAS but as soon as i start gameplay, or even in build mode, the game crashes after 5 minutes without fail every time. It displays an error message saying "the sims 3 has stopped responding" (please see attached screenshot). I've turned all my settings down for graphics, weather, etc and I don't have any CC. I've tried playing in offline mode too but nothing seems to be fixing the issue. I love the sims 3 so much and prefer playing it to the sims 4 so I'll be gutted if i can't find a way to fix this. Please help guys! thank you 🙂

    @holzybolzy2002  Do you have a friend that would loan you a relatively low-powered graphics card to test with?  Anything from Nvidia that ends in -50 would work: 1050 ti, 1650, 950.  A 1030 would be fine too.  The -60 cards typically require a supplemental connector, so only test with one of those if your power supply has the appropriate cable.  The point here is to find out whether the problem is the graphics card or something else.

    The reverse could also be useful: installing your graphics card into a different computer and seeing whether Sims 3 crashes.

    Other than that, I think you might need to take the computer to a repair shop and have someone look it over.  The shop would have diagnostic tools that I can't offer you and would also be able to swap out components during testing.  Some shops charge nothing or only a nominal fee for diagnostics, so look for one that doesn't expect you to pay for repairs before they've even figured out what's wrong.
