Sims 3 crashing on mac / don't understand what's wrong

Hi everyone, 

Just coming on here to ask if anyone could help, I've read a lot of other topics and answers but i'm still confused why my sims 3 keeps crashing. I just bought it yesterday via the EA app, and played it fine for about 2 hours, then it crashed for the first time. Since starting the game today its "quit unexpectedly" 4 times in the span of half an hour. I bought the starter pack, so with EP Late Night, and I read that pack might be the cause of issues?

I have the 63 bit Metal version. I have a MacBook Air running macOS Catalina 10.15.7. 

Processor: 1,7 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i7

Memory: 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 5000 1536 MB

I have EP Late Night and High-end loft stuff, no CC and no anti-virus.

If anyone could help that would be amazing, thanks in advance!

    @avelenIB  Do you restart your computer after the game crashes, and if not, does it help?  Does it help to play while your computer is offline?  You can sign into the EA App and put it in offline mode, then disable wifi before pressing Play.

    If the game still crashes, please try playing in Sunset Valley rather than Bridgeport and let me know if that's any better.

    Late Night itself isn't really a problem, but Bridgeport can be, although usually it's only a problem when Pets is installed too.
