Sims 3 crashing
All of my sims 3 saves keep (freezing and eventually) crashing after ~2 minutes of playing smoothly. This happened after downloading CC, however, deleting the CC didn't help. My one save crashes ri...
@sims3testx Sims 3 crash logs are, unfortunately, almost entirely useless. Yours lists an access violation, which can be caused by anything from bad custom content to an error-prone homeworld to hardware issues. (I'm not saying I think you have a hardware issue, only that that's how unspecific this type of error is.)
So the place to start is with the basics: try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 3 folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. Don't add anything to it yet; just start a new save in Sunset Valley and see how it runs. If you get another crash, please stop here and post a dxdiag.

If the new save is fine, you can copy your current save to the new folder. Don't add anything else though, at least not yet, unless the save takes place in a store or custom world. In that case, you'll of course need to install that world, but only that. Don't worry about missing custom content—since you're copying over your save rather than transferring it, you can experiment freely on the new copy while the original remains intact.
Let me know how the save runs in the clean folder, and also which world you've been playing in, and we'll go from there.
