Sims 3 download slows down and stops entirely

do you get a 50% then dips to 10% what i mean is it keeps resetting if so try this

Launch Origin and log in with your account
 
- Click Origin in the top left (main menu)
 
- Select Application Settings
 
- From General tab, scroll down to "Update to the beta version if available" and tick the checkbox
 
- Restart Origin

What happens to me is that my download speed just dies. The game is currently at 41% and the download speed is 6kb/s. I'll try that anyways and will post the results. Thanks in advance.

Nope, the download speed still dies. The speed just decreases and eventually, it reaches an incredibly low speed like 6kb/s. And I wouldn't like to wait a year for my game to download.

Thank you for your help, and sorry for such a late reply, I have somehow managed to get this monstrocity functioning without ''hicups''. I have disable AD Block as suggested by one of those sites, but that just made it worse. Then I went banana and decided to close everything and attemt restarting Origin. Misteriously, I have discovered that Origin was just a greedy whore who wants the full attention of my internet connection so leaving anything open which requires internet to function will drive Origin into craziness and kill my download time. So i spent the rest of that 2 hours downloading the game with a steady 800kb/s while watching Zero Punctuation on my phone(surprisingly I could do whatever I wanted with my phone on any website, it didn't affect download time). So thank you very much for taking a little time out of your day, helping me 'rumbutter'
