Sims 3 Download Stuck on Calculating Disc Space

@gwenleah and @soleida A few players have said they fixed this error by manually selecting the folder where the pack(s) should install. That would be the Sims 3 folder in whatever location you chose to install the base game, here by default:

C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 3

@puzzlezaddict i just did that, and it won't download...
it just says that an error has occurred, and to restart the app. I've tried clearing the cache, and it doesn't work ☹️
...i've also tried unselecting all the expansion packs before downloading, nut they seem to be the only items that are even popping up.
why can't we have nice things, man
