im having the same problem right now , do you remember how to fix it ? i can’t figure it out
@skybug040 As said before, this isn't an actual problem; it's just how the game data is organized now.
If you're having trouble actually loading any of your content in-game, please let me know what's not showing up.

i have a mac so i have the regular sims 3 and the sims 3 64 bit. on the regular sims 3 when i try and open it , it just keeps saying “unknown error occurred”. and for the 64 bit it lets me open it until the launcher and when i press the play button it doesn’t let me open the game either. and i’ve watched youtube videos to fix the “unknown error occurred” and i try and follow the steps but once it comes to the expansion packs part they don’t show up in the folder “addons” it just has the same thing like “EP01”

@skybug040 Please do a clean uninstall of the 32-bit version, as described in this article:
https://bluebellflora.com/how-to-do-a-clean-uninstall-and-reinstall-on-a-mac/
Before you start, go into Documents > Electronic Arts and move the Sims 3 folder to your desktop. The uninstall process shouldn't delete this folder, but sometimes it does, and this is where your saves are stored.
Once you've uninstalled the 32-bit version, don't restore this folder yet; just restart your computer and try to launch the game in 64-bit. If this doesn't work, please let me know whether you get an error, and if so, what it says.
So we're on the same page, please also post the full specs of your Mac: everything under About This Mac including the OS and except for the serial number.
