Sims 3 expansions missing

    Hi everyone,

    I have merged in this thread all the posts reporting missing expansion packs in the last few days. If you had a pack in Origin and suddenly it is showing as not owned anymore in the Extras tab or not showing in the launcher anymore, please keep reading:

    What to do about missing The Sims 3 packs:

    1. If you are missing all the games, including the base game, make sure you are using the account in which your registered your games the first time. If you have more than one account, try with the others.

    2. If the pack you are missing is showing as installed in Origin but not in the Expansions & Stuff tab in the launcher, then please, follow these instructions: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-3/INFO-The-Sims-3-packs-installed-in-Origin-but-now-showing-in-the/m-p/6085770

      If after trying this you are still missing your packs in the launcher, go to 3.

    3. If you are sure you are in the right account and that only some packs are missing, then please, reach out to our Terms of Service team that will investigate why your expansions have gone missing: https://help.ea.com/en-in/help/account/information-about-banned-or-suspended-accounts/ (check the section 'How to email us')

    Once you have heard back from the TOS team, if you want to repurchase a pack, but you are having issues because Origin only gives you the option to download it, then please contact our advisors through EA Help. Explain them you cannot purchase the game because Origin is still showing it as owned.

    Hi I am Just starting to play my Sims 3 game again and I'm having similar but slightly different issues. I have the base game as well as three expansion packs and one stuff packs, the stuff packs  and supernatural work fine, but pets and university life don't show up. In extra content it shows it is downloaded and installed, but when I go to play it, it's like they are not even there. I haven't changed my laptop, I have only the one account and nothing I have tried works. I have tried repairing the game, uninstalling and reinstalling I even tried reinstalling origin and nothing has worked. Can you tell me how I can get my expansion packs to work please?

    It the third one but my account is not banned. if my game is not fit then how can I get my money back. cause I don't know what to do anymore to solve this

      @mushskyIf you bought a code on a site, turn to the place where you bought the not-working code and report it as not working. Then they can either give you a new code or your money back.

    Ahh...so judging from the struggles everybody else had, my answer is to re-buy the games through my Steam account. Well that's a legit seller, so I'm sold. On the bright side, the packs I bought from ebay were cheap so my pockets aren't crying (yet,) but I'm a little bummed I missed the huge sale!

    Hi, I am having the same issue, it is showing mm games as being installed on origin yet not in my launcher, i have tried your methods yet they still will not re-appear. please help as this is really annoying, this is no around the 6th time asking for information on why this has happened .

    My Sims 3 expansion pack ( Sims 3 Supernatural) will not download. The download button is just straight up not doing anything when I use this. I have looked into his and this was an issue back in June last year. I haven't found a work around on the new Origin and my laptop is brand new, running on powerful drivers and so  no reason for this to be an issue. I am extremely angry due to this situation, as it shouldn't be THIS DIFFICULT to install an expansion pack. And as I previously said, I can't even get the download to begin. It says that I already have the item in my library, I scroll down and try to download it but it does not download.

    Please fix this issue, as I used the game on the same laptop since I bought it and have only recently changed PC.

    For this to STILL be an issue it doesn't seem like anyone has actually tried to fix the issue.

    Original post was from July, I've seen other posts form last year and it's ridiculous that this is still an ongoing issue.

    Either fix the issue so I can download Sims 3 Supernatural, or refund the FULL cost of a game I no longer have access to because of ongoing issues that should have been fixed by now.

    The help provided DID NOT fix this issue for me and did not resolve anything.

    I realized I had created two accounts. Once I signed in to the correct one, I used the Repair Game option and this got everything back up. Thanks for the tips!

    This is BS! We shouldn't have to figure out what happened to our stuff. It shouldn't have disappeared in the first place. Please my expansions and stuff back in my game.

      @DebLabuda  If you happen to have bought a secondhand copy of any Sims 3 packs, or you bought what turned out to be a bad code from a third party, this can happen.  In that case, EA is within its rights to revoke the content associated with the code(s) in question.

      To find out whether this happened to you, you'll need to contact EA customer support.

        yeah but in my case i was told today that the retailer blocked the codes yet i know they cant do that
