Sims 3 expansions not showing up in game launcher after account merge

I have been looking around if other people had this problem, and tried to talk to EA support some time ago, but I haven't been able to solve it yet.

Some time ago I had EA merge the two accounts I had, because I wanted all my Sims 3 expansion expansions on the same account. On the app it looks as if I have the packs, and I am able to install them all. But when i open the sims 3 launcher, and go to select the packs I want to have in the game, only the pack that was originally on this account shows up. I have tried uninstalling and installing the packs and the app I think, but nothing I've tried have worked yet.

Has anyone been able to solve something like this?

    It sounds like these packs may need to be re-added to your account if you're currently not able to access them after your account merge- I'm not able to look into this directly from AHQ as we don't have access to your account details, so you'll need to reach back out to live support and have them review the entitlements on your account for these packs. 

    Please contact live support to have them re-add those expansions from the help site here, I'd also recommend you attach this AHQ conversation when you reach out there so live support has further information to reference.

  • Well decided to update on my situation, I got in contact with ea live chat by going through the form through the channels not involving my issue. Basically had to lie to the form about my problem to get to an ea live chat advisor.

    I went through about four advisors loosing connection, every time I had to restart my computer to try something. In about 3 hours we tried a bunch of things nothing worked and finally the final advisor did a report about it forward, we'll see if it does anything. The advisors were nice, but I'm stuck not playing my game because I'm afraid I'm going to have to redownload all over again, until I get an answer back.

    I'm happy to describe what we tried to fix it if it helps someone else, if anyone's interested. I got like two solutions I didn't see in the forums at least I didn't catch them personally.

  • This is a problem that is clearly persistent in the sims 3, but I'll explain my situation.

    I have most of my sims 3 on physical disks and recently decided to wipe the game and redownload it only to notice that my external cd drive didn't work. I went through with a about 2 week back and forth on email to get some of the expansion packs that I had on an old account to my current one.

    Then when I downloaded them, the expansion packs I got from the old account weren't showing up in my sims 3 launcher. I looked through most of the threads about the issue on here and tired everything that I could from the suggestions on fixing it, none of it worked. Then the final answer is getting on ea help live chat, problem with that is I do not get the option of ea live chat on any type of problem I try on the form thing. I do not want to go through another two week email back and forth about this. I just want to play the game I paid for.

    The packs I'm missing are world adventures, late night, ambitions, supernatural and island paradise. They show as installed in the ea app and I've redownloaded everything at least twice including the ea app.
