Sims 3 expansions not showing up in game launcher

I have been looking around if other people had this problem, and tried to talk to EA support some time ago, but I haven't been able to solve it yet.

Some time ago I had EA merge the two accounts I had, because I wanted all my Sims 3 expansion expansions on the same account. On the app it looks as if I have the packs, and I am able to install them all. But when i open the sims 3 launcher, and go to select the packs I want to have in the game, only the pack that was originally on this account shows up. I have tried uninstalling and installing the packs and the app I think, but nothing I've tried have worked yet.

Has anyone been able to solve something like this?

    It sounds like these packs may need to be re-added to your account if you're currently not able to access them after your account merge- I'm not able to look into this directly from AHQ as we don't have access to your account details, so you'll need to reach back out to live support and have them review the entitlements on your account for these packs. 

    Please contact live support to have them re-add those expansions from the help site here, I'd also recommend you attach this AHQ conversation when you reach out there so live support has further information to reference.

  • I'm having a similar issue - I purchased an expansion through EA shop and it says I own it but it's also not showing up on the Sims 3 launcher. The response email from EA was not helpful. Hopefully it's an easy fix, very frustrating!

  • I'm having the same issue after account merging and even after contacting EA Help many times about this it's still broken. I haven't been able to get my sims 3 Expansions to work ever sense. and I'm upset about it because its just a waste of money now. and they wont give me a refund because I've owned them for so long

  • The Sims 3 expansion packs showing as Unpurchased on EA app after account merging.

    I recently went through EA support to merge an account with an old account. This old account had the Sims 3 on it with a large amount of the expansion packs. When I opened the EA app after the merger I was able to install the Sims 3 base game which automatically installed two of the expansion packs with it. However when I began scrolling through the packs all of the other ones were showing as if I didn't own them. After contacting support twice on the subject I have cleared my cashe twice and restarted my laptop (which is new so I do not believe it is a hardware issue). The tech people both told me it shows as owned on their side but it still tells me to purchase them on the EA app. It doesn't show in the sims 3 launcher either like it used to. During all of this tech support madness I also tried to open the game because I have had experiences in the past where a game won't allow me to add content unless it has been opened at least once, the Sims 3 refuses to open from the sims 3 launcher. I don't know if that is part of the same issue and I don't know how to open the game without opening the launcher.

    If you're not able to access your packs after you've merged your accounts, these packs would need to be manually re-added to your account. While we don't have the ability to do this for you over the forums, the live support team will need to check your entitlements and see what's going on. 

    Please reach back out to live support so they can review your entitlements for your packs after this merge and re-add those expansions if needed. You can also attach this AHQ conversation when you contact live support so they have further details to reference.
