Sims 3 expansions pack not showing In game

I received Sims 3 Starter Pack from my aunt back in 2014. I installed it on my PC at the time. I don't have that PC or the disk anymore but its still downloaded on Origin. Fast forward now I downloaded Sims 3 again but my expansions pack Late Night and High End Loft doesn't appear in my launcher nor does it appear in game. I have a Mac now. Is it because the Starter Pack was only accessible for PC not MAC?

  • @AliciaBrock1113  The Mac version of Sims 3 doesn't show expansion or stuff packs in the launcher.  Either they install and load in-game or they don't.

In Origin, if you click Sims 3, then More > Expansion Packs, then scroll down to Late Night, do you see a Download button?  You might find two or three copies of LN; please check all of them.  Repeat for High-End Loft Stuff, under Stuff Packs.  If you do find Download buttons, click them.

If the packs only show as Unlocked, you'll need to contact EA customer support.  Please see the first post of this thread:

  • It doesn’t say download or unlocked. It wants me to buy the actual packs in origin.

@AliciaBrock1113  If you used to own the Starter Pack, you still should.  So you'll need to contact EA customer support to find out what happened to your content.  If you still have access to the PC where Sims 3 was installed, try to find the product codes there so you can share them with the support rep.  Here's how:

    https://sims3.crinrict.com/en/2013/09/how-to-find-your-serial-number.html

These codes might still be present even after an uninstall, so please check regardless of whether the game is currently installed.

  • When reinstalling the game they give me the product code. But only the base game shows not the expansions pack. And ea sucks with getting back to me. It’s been days now:/

@AliciaBrock1113  What I linked is a different way to find product codes, and the idea is that you might find all of them.  I understand that Origin showed you the base game product code, but you don't need that, you need the packs' codes.  So please look for them on your old computer.

  • Lol I don’t have that computer it’s been gone more than a decade. I contact ea finally and they claim I only had the base game but I know for sure I had the starter pack. I received an email saying it’s a problem other players are experiencing.

I’m just going to bite the bullet and buy CDkeys on a website that sells them for cheap. EA selling packs for 20$ for a game that’s more than a decade old is wild to me. But thanks for trying to help. 😉

    Hi there @AliciaBrock1113

It sounds like your Starter Pack is currently tied with a different EA account than the one you're currently logging in with. We aren't able to check for this with you over the forums, but the live support team can review your account details further and help you locate which EA account your Starter Pack is registered with.

I'd recommend you reach back out to live support from the site here https://go.ea.com/HowToEAHelp so the team there can investigate into this further with you and help locate your content.
