Sims 3 Freezes every few seconds

Your welcome and it's your video card. The game does not play well or sometimes at all on Intel cards. Intel cards are not made for gaiming. Is this a lpatop or PC? If PC you could change out the video card but f it is a laptop you can't. Even if you got the game to play on your card, you card will eventually give out since it is not made for gaming. I have seen this game also ruin some of the best cards because this game has no fps limiter on it so with higher end cards if you don't put a limiter on the card the card will run the fps really high and over heat.
also forgot to add your card has not been updated since 2011.Iin general you need to update it if there is an update.
Can you tell me what kind of video graphics card I need for the game? I don't want to buy the wrong one and mess it up even more. And also, for the Sims 4, what type of video card will I need so I dont run into the same problem?

We dont know yet about the sims 4. Only release date Sept 2nd and they claim will not be as demanding as te sims 3.
With Video card you need to find someone local in your area who is tec savy to see what video cards you can add to your computer and what you can change to make it work.
You need AMD or Nvidia card. Cards that work with the game, I cant post a link but google ---Mod The Sims 3 system Requirements --. On Mod the sims web they have several video cards tested even though some are newer and not supprted by EA's requiremnets (which are old) will run the game and you would be buying a new card. You can go look at their web, google the card and see what the price is for the card. The better the card the more expensive the card. If you look at their we you can get an idea and then find out what cards you can put in your computer.
