Sims 3 Freezing - Merged Package files & Sunset Valley

Since I have merged my files and found any corrupted CC, my Sims 3 game is smoother and I can build/buy for at least an hour... But as soon as I go back to Live mode, it will freeze then start aga...

      I followed the tutorial and moved everything one by one - I was able to play in new worlds for more than an hour (until I got bored) but my Sunset Valley game that I've been playing technically since a year (or longer...) seems to still have the freezing

      With or without the custom content.

      So I think it may be a sign that I need to start fresh?

        I don't have much experience with Sims 3, especially compared to our resident specialists like @SandArcher or @rumbutter, but from my understanding sometimes CC can mess up a game for good if removed (if some actions hinged on such and such mod or item no longer present), so it might indeed be time to shake things up in your Sims' world. :D
