Sims 3 Functional Community Lot (HELP)
Is there any way to creat yourself a functional community lot ? (Build a hall normaly and set it to a functional city hall) Thx for help
@ShawlinMarlboro Yes, there is. In order to be a proper lot of whatever type you want, you'll still need the rabbithole itself, but the shell (the giant building around it) is unnecessary. The rabbithole is for certain functions that can't be separated from it, e.g. a sim walking into City Hall to change their name or take a Charisma class.
We can't link mods or other downloads on this site, but google "Zerbu Ultimate Careers" and "Sims 3 rabbithole rugs" and you should find some tutorials to get you started. Then you could make a small room that holds the actual rabbithole, plus a larger building with everything else you want to exist. The Ultimate Careers mod allows your sims to work out in the open, using relevant objects to their careers.
There are plenty of tutorials for both, done better than I could offer here. I'd start at Mod the Sims and go from there, and if you have a specific question, feel free to ask here or in a current thread on the MTS site.
This isn't directly related, but if the career part is of interest, I'd also suggest looking into MissyHissy's custom careers. They're well done and extensively tested, and last I heard, she still provided some support when she had time.
