Sims 3 games linked to old EA account

I have been playing the sims for my entire life and recently I was in the mood to play Sims 3. I have probably 10+ expansion packs for the Sims 3 however all of these are associated with an EA account that was made in 2009 that has now been made dormant. The email domain associated with the account also no longer exists so i have no way to recover the account. I have all of the physical discs and product codes however they are all linked to a very old EA account that no longer exists so I can't access them. 

Is there any way to resolve this? Support team were very understanding however there is not much they can do since the email account no longer exists. I would really love to not have to repurchase all of my favourite Sims 3 games since I can hold them in my hands it feels like a shame to spend all the money on them again
